Afternoon Tea as it was meant to be taken

“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”

– Henry James, The Portrait of a Lady

Afternoon tea began not in grand hotels, but in the private drawing rooms of English aristocracy. Regal Afternoon Tea by Julius returns to those origins, an intimate, unhurried experience hosted in the manner of a private house, by a butler who served the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The Setting

Your tea is served in the private drawing room of a stately home, a Georgian townhouse, or your own home, not a hotel ballroom. The atmosphere is one of quiet comfort and genuine hospitality.

The Service

Julius Smith has spent over thirty years as a butler to international royalty, titled families and personally served over 20 Heads of State.  He brings that experience to your table: attentive, discreet, and impeccable.

The Food

The menu is prepared by a former Royal chef, each course follows the traditions of a grand private household. From cucumber sandwiches to crepes Islandaise, a favourite of the late Duke of Edinburgh.

Private, Personal and Properly Done

This is tea as it was taken at Buckingham Palace and Blenheim, at Woburn
and Chatsworth. Now brought to you in true English style.

Elegant, discrete and delicious.
